If incoming parallel rays, when reflected by the mirrors,
converge 2 m to the left of the reflective side of
the primary mirror, what is the approximate distance
between the two mirrors?
A. 14 m
B. 28 m (ANSWER)
C. 58 m
D. 116 m
Answer key says:
If we let d = distance between the two mirrors, then 2d + 2 = 58 given that 58 is the focal length. Can anyone please explain? why is it 2d? not d+2=58?
