optional essays: to do or not to do

    If I really don't have anything spectacular to say for an optional essay (such as BUs) should I still write one to make it look like I took the time and effort to complete the application for that school?

    if u can really make it sound genuine and well thought then can't hurt.

    if u can't, it will hurt more than help!
