How much prep? Cases with a friend or should I also go back and re review material from the qualifying exam? Any particular topics that hang people up (like peds, etc)?

I haven't taken this exam..but most people recommend reviewing written prep materials...if possible baby miller/m and m quick reading....what most people emphasize though is practice, practice and practice. if you want to practice over skype/hangout pm me.
Isn't "Baby Miller" anesthesiology? Dude above is EM (like this forum).

at the very least practice with someone who has taken it recently. if not, a review course most likely makes sense. I did 6 cases during my residency total and reviewed the book with my wife (non medical) and did fine but boy was I nervous during and after the exam. Looking back, reviewing as above or a course wouldve given me peace of mind and less jitters.

Just find an attending or two who either a) regularly preps residents and has cases of their own that they like to use b) went through the oral boards recently and is willing to use the CORD oral board case bank (http://www.cordem.org/i4a/pages/index.cfm?pageid=3403) with you. Running through 3-5 cases will get you all the prep you need. Good luck!

The AAEM oral boards review is great. A tad overkill, but I'd rather do overkill than underkill.
