Has anybody applied /thinking of applying or is currently enrolled in an Oral and Maxillofacial RADIOLOGY residency?

I was wondering how competitive it is to get in and really how much experience you get reading xrays - especially the CT scans and in general do you think it is worth it in the long run?

Thanks in advance

Hi
I will be starting my program in July. The competition is quiet high. Of the 60 applicants they chose 2. The program is intense. You learn more than reading radiographs, you get to work with the medical radiology department including the MRI, CBCT, sialographs............. well the list goes on. Your future depends on you. How you mold yourself in the profession is up to you. You have to make the decision.

Congratulations!! Do you mind telling your stats?
are you straight out of dental school or did you do any other residencies or private practice?

Also did you apply to all of the Oral Radiology programs available out there? Which one did you think is better and why?
