Question everyone,

when do we expect to hear our scores online about oral boards? a hefty amount of salary depends on it, and i am anxious to spend it on electronics. do you think it would be as early as october 10th or 17th? I took them September 21st.

not sure how long it took in April, and whether it takes longer or shorter in October.

btw younger people preparing, it was a fair fair fair test, but extremely extremely comprehensive. when they say anything is game, ANY disease process is game. literally. Chances are i failed because i was nervous, but i am confident in passing my second pass because it is not difficult to prepare for.

In April results were posted exactly three weeks after the last exam (i.e. Friday) at about 4 pm. You got an email telling you to log in to ABA website, then you held your breath and hit "new exam results". If your email says you have to contact the ABA by phone for your results and contains a link to sign up for next year's exam, it's not a good sign.

It was november 11th or so at the latest. Who knows when they'll actually get released?

I remember specifically that they said the results will be posted no later than 11/11/11....cool date huh?

My friends who took it in April got their scores about 3.5 weeks after their exam. Very early from when they were told they would get them. I heard about 85% passed overall.

Is it true that if the email has a link in it you basically failed and if it doesn't you likely passed???????????????

Unless you are sitting by your computer or get it on your phone immediately after it's sent, you might find out if you passed from someone else. Because you can look up whether anyone passed or failed. On the ABA website homepage, there's a section for "verify a doctor's certification"- you type in your name (or someone elses) and it says whether you are "in the examination system" or "certified". I was out to dinner when the email came out. I got six texts from friends who chose to look me up and then said "congratulations"- so that's how I found out. I was kinda pissed. But it's public info. Never had to log in. They change your status immediately.

Last round, the function to look up someone's certification status on the ABA website was disabled from the time results went up all through the weekend. I don't know if they did that on purpose so the above wouldn't happen, but you couldn't look up somebody else's certification status until monday morning.

Wow, how remarkably humane and sensitive of the ABA.

(I admit I was checking up on my friends about 2 minutes after looking up my own results ...)

so i guess october 14th weekend will either be a great one or a sh*#%* one?

sad that grown adults within a profession have a need to invade others' privacy but i should be used to it by now. Good luck to everyone.
