Order of Schools on FAFSA

Does the order matter? Or is this just to determine eligibility for programs like Cal Grant?

If order does matter, then any suggestions on how I should list the schools?

Ex:

1.Acceptances
2.Pending Decision
3.Waitlist
4.Waiting Interview Invite?

or

Most desired to least desired.

As I understand it it doesn't matter. It's just a list of who will receive your info.

I have NO idea whether it matters. I'm not sure why they'd give us the option to shift the position of schools in our list "up" or "down" if it didn't matter, though.

Here's the order I chose:

1. Acceptances (most desirable first)
2. Impending decision
3. Interview Invite
4. Other desirable schools that I hadn't heard back from

I didn't have any waitlists.

I'm interested about this too, and I've never looked at the FAFSA before.
