Order of Use: EK, TBR, TPRH, AAMCs, Kaplan FLs

I plan on using the following materials for preparing for the MCAT. Which order do you think I should use them in?

EK (Complete Set)
EK 101 and 1001 (for Physics, Chem, and Organic)
TBR (PS: For Review and Passages; BS: For Passages only)
TPRH (Science and Verbal Workbooks)
AAMCs (All)
Kaplan FLs (All)

Which first?
1. EK OR TBR
2. EK 101 OR TPRH Verbal Workbook
3. AAMCs OR Kaplan FLs
4. EK 1001 OR TPRH Science Workbook

Best method?
1. Kalplan FLs: intermittently throughout studying OR after completely done studying

I'd do BR first for review and use EK near the end to quiz yourself. The biggest problem with using EK early is that their answer explanations suck. If you get something wrong, they don't explain it. BR explanations are gold, so you learn the material in context. Then when you do EK questions, you won't need their explanations, not that they have any.

I'd do BR FLs instead of Kaplan FLs.

Also, Berkeley Review is very detailed and their books require more reading than other test prep books. They also come from a different approach than other books.

EK is more concise and not as detailed. Same goes for Princeton and Kaplan.

So obviously use the detailed one first and make sure you understand everything before you move onto others.

In terms of FLs... use TBR. It's on Computer and they are challenging but their scale will make up for it and give you a somewhat accurate prediction of your real score. TPR and Kaplan tests require you to take their classes to access them. EK sucks.

Towards the end, I'd mix up AAMC and TBR so that you don't get too comfortable with some of the easier questions in AAMC 3-5.

what do you think of their verbal in their fl exams? Is it like aamc? I feel as most poeple here dont like TBR verbal ?

I think you should use:

- TBR - PS Section (Physics/Gen. Chem) and Organic Chem
- TPRH - for Biology only
- EK101 and TPRH for Verbal
- AAMC and Kaplan FLs
- Passages from TBR - Gen Chem./Bio/Orgo/Physics
- EK 1001 (all) and TPRH Science workbook

At least this is what I am doing. You can always switch around for your convenience.
