I wonder how is the demand for dentists or pros in general in oregon state. The reason I ask is that california is very saturated. I wonder if the neighboring state is the same too.

How is the saturation in portland and medford?

Also, how is the demand for dentures in oregon? Are there a lot of old folks there?

ived lived in Portland my whole life....lots of old people. The further away from portland you go, the more denture patients. I worked at a dental lab in PDX and I finished 27 cases a day. Down south or near the coast should be a gold mine according to my dentist.

the reason why there are a lot of dentists in CA is because of how easy they made it to obtain licensure. they accept WREB's, licensure by residency, licensure by reciprocity, and they even accept licensure from graduate from a mexican dental school. that is why it's so crowded. since oregon does not accept the same licensure rules, they're going to be less crowded.

Don't be fooled. Oregon is saturated. I practiced in Eugene and Medford. Both saturated areas. Portland is even worse. Oregon allows Denture techs to run their own denture businesses. The only places in Oregon that are a sure thing are very rural areas.

I'm pretty sure they are paying incentives for dentists/pros. to move to the east side of OR...like near the Umatilla indian res, etc....avoid the willamette valley and you will be sittin' pretty good
