how is this viewed?

some schools had a 1 organic chem lab that was 2 credits, then other schools had them separate as two labs each being 1 credit.

originally orgo lab was taken with orgo 2 so taking orgo one had no lab. this required taking 1st semester of orgo lab AFTER doing orgo 1, orgo 2, and orgo 2 lab.

Do you follow?

Original School: Orgo1 -3 credits, Orgo2 3 credits, orgo lab 2 credits
Second School: Orgo1 - 3cr, orgo 1lab 1cr, orgo 2 - 3cr, orgo2 lab 1cr

Transfered from Original school. did Orgo 1 there, Did orgo 2 and orgo 2 lab at second school. had to do orgo 1 lab later on after completing orgo1, orgo2, and orgo2 lab.

How is this looked upon?

How is this looked upon when you have a doctorate degree with many advanced chemistry classes that have built upon organic chem (medicinal chemistry, p-chemistry, etc)

No one will care where you took organic chem lab...I was actually in a similar situation as you and took lab at a university near my job because i was a post-bacc...different than my undergrad and post-bacc. Believe me no one cares, especially for labs. Just make sure the credits fulfill med school requirements and that the labs taken correspond to lectures taken (i.e. my undergrad did ALL of orgo lab in 1 semester...post-bacc did it in semesters....university i actually took lab at did tri-mesters...so I followed the same course recommendations as the school where I took the lab...meaning they offered organic chem lecture 1,2,3 and lab 1,2,3 but premeds and bio majors (basically anyone but engineers and chem majors) were only required by the school to take lab 1,2 (even though they had to take lecture 1,2,3). So long answer short: It does not matter just make sure you fulfill requirements of med schools. Don't worry about how it will look.

No one will care. My organic 1 lab was quite possibly the worst class I ever took. No way I was going to do organic 2 lab at that school. It was brutal. I took the second class at a community college which was a joke. Lots of acceptances. No one even asked about it.
