I'm planning my fall courses (DIY post bacc) at my local community college in Austin. I want to take some upper level science courses though. UT extension offers a few premed classes: bio 1/2, ochem 1/2, genetics, biochem, but no labs. Is there a way I could take the lab portion at a cc? I would really like to take orgo at a university. I thought about registering at UT as a non-degree seeking student, but the admissions rep said I'd have to apply for regular admission and it would be very competitive. I was kind of surprised because my alma mater would let anyone register for a class if they were a non-degree seeking student. Any suggestions?
