Hey guys,

I was wondering, is Organic Chemistry as a Second Language (1 &2) by David Klein overkill for the MCAT Organic section? Please be honest as I want the best possible score without wasting my time. Is EK + TBR for the Organic Chem a practical alternative?

Your input will be highly appreciated.

NVM looks like the consensus is that EK sucks and TBR is descent. Organic Chem as a second language got nothing but positive reviews on this board so I guess that settles my inquiry.

I'd say Ochem as a 2nd language is good for ochem class if you're having trouble. otherwise, it might be a bit much for the mcat. stick to review books if you understood everything pretty well during your ochem course

Indeed, it is a great pair of review books for class. However, they can also serve as a great review tool for material covered on the MCAT, so long as you stick to only those topics, of which the AAMC provides a handy list (which would be good for you to be familiar with anyway).
