I don't know for sure but I would guess not. Sn1, Sn2, E1, E2, etc have not changed in ... and the books you cited use the electrons as dancing partners and who is swapping what with whom, how the new molecules "bowed" to each other (chair form to boat, etc), and who dumped who (E rxns. ) any of those should be fine for intro ochem support - although, if you are buying them for class support, I'd suggest doing all the problems in the assigned book first, buying the plastic atom kits (sticks and balls) and then looking at the list you have.

In my experience, Orgo as a Second Language was good for chair structures, meso compounds and stereochemistry of things like Br2 addition to alkene. It was indispensable for the bond-line drawings and stuff like that. If there is a difference in editions, it's likely just in appearance and not conceptually meaningful.

The summer before I took Orgo 1, I rode the train one hour each way 3-4 times a week and got through pretty much every problem in the first half of the book during the rides. I subsequently got A+s in Orgo I, II and lab and now get paid to teach it, so the book does work. It can be kind of childish sometimes, though.

Organic as a second language for first semester for sure. Second semester second language got kinda sloppy and all over the place. But first semester my best spent 35$ was on Klein's book.

I also got a drawing book and drew everything out ... that way when it came to synthesis, I had already incorporated that into my head instead of "oh, HTH do I get two acetylides to make an epoxide with a bromine ring at the end in less than 10 steps"

I can't picture that.
