So I took the PCAT on Saturday, and I'm not sure I was up to par with my o-chem. I'd rather not go through my entire o-chem text book for October's test. Does anyone have any suggestions for a good o-chem review book, preferably one with review questions? Thanks!

And if you actually took the PCAT on Saturday with it and feel it helped, please let me know.

I used "Organic Chemistry I as a Second Language" both during Orgo 1 and 2 and as prep for the PCAT. It's got a very easy to read format and a good number of sample questions.

Note, the problems aren't really written as "test questions" but more for understanding and applying concepts.

I never got around to "Organic Chemistry II as a Second Language", which may be why I got a B in Orgo 2.

ISBN for "Organic Chemistry I as a Second Language" is 0470129298. Runs about $35 new, worth every dollar.

Thanks! I think I can find something else that would work to test myself on PCAT-like questions, but I need something to review o-chem in general.

I have never tried this book...yet people have given positive reviews of the OChem Examcrackers book.......

Now that I read my previous post I see that I wasn't very clear about the book I recommended. It would meet your needs of being a good review book vs. your organic chem textbook.

It has a review of each major topic/rxn and then offers practice problems. If you're just wanting to review concepts/rxns without doing problems this book works well. I think I put too much emphasis on the problem sets in my previous post and didn't explain that it has very concise review material.

Plus, it's a super small, thin book and you can go thru it very fast if you've had orgo before.

Honestly what I found to be a great review/questions for orgo was the PCAT destroyer. The questions in there are by far harder than the actual, so if those you can crack down and understand, I'm sure you would be fine on the PCAT. The explanations to the problems are really what helped the most. Besides it has more than orgo so it was a good help in general. I have always done well in organic though, so I'm not sure if the orgo in the destroyer might be too challenging.
Good Luck!

Does this book cover the math section as well? I really need a great review for the cal/pre-cal and organic sections
