I cannot find the info in my notes. When you are naming a cyclic compound by IUPAC, do you know when you use the ortho, meta, para (o,m,p) prefixes or when you just give the carbon number it attaches to??
Ex: m-chloro-o-dimethylcyclohexanone is the correct name for the compound versus 3-chloro-2,2-dimethyl cyclohexanone, which is the same thing but the second is incorrect.
Please help if you understand what I am talking about.... THANKS!
