I'm signing up for stafford loans. I've heard and read that we should look for offers with 0% origination fees. I've searched for these but can't find any. Is anyone else looking or found 0% origination fee at the moment? thanks

I think most good 'perks' that lending companies offered went away with this recent credit crunch. Nevermind that physicians are usually very reliable paying back their loans.

It really isn't so much the credit crunch as the fact that the federal government reduced funding for various loan products. Because the loan companies aren't getting as much money, they can't give out as many incentives to us, the students.

Discover's Loan has 0% Guarantor and 0% Origination fee.
