Ortho text for FM?

I was wondering if y'all had a recommendation for a good textbook for ortho for an outpatient FM doc. For that matter, how much ortho do y'all see in your clinics and how much do you treat?

I haven't seen any splinting/casting done by an FM doc in any of my preceptorships so far, but definitely some diagnosing of fractures via x-ray. I'm thinking about reading Lippincott's Primary Care Orthopaedics, but I wanted to get a second opinion from the group. Over in the EM thread this book also came up: Emergency Orthopedics: the Extremities.

super agree with those two, if you want to go a little further down the rabbits hole: Handbook of Fractures
I do sports med only so I see all non op fractures adults and peds

Lange's "Orthopedics and sports medicine" is a nice pocketbook to have, I used it a lot in residency.

If you plan to do any type of urgent care you will see ortho all day, every day. I suggest you do a good ortho elective rotation that's not standing in the OR holding a leg for a hip replacement. Do an office ortho rotation where they teach you how to read MRI of backs, how to splint, how to reduce basic fractures, how to cast. One of the best rotations I ever did for myself. I use ortho skills every day. I also did a non-surgical podiatry rotation to learn about diabetic foot care, nails, corns, bunions, etc.
