Dear all,
I was wondering if any dentist/ orthodontist in our forum knows if a fully impacted canine in an adult ( about 30- 40 years old ) can be surgically exposed and orthodontically moved to the occlusion? supposing that there is enough space for this canine ( deciduous canine has been retained, for example) I know this kind of procedure is quite common and it seems to have a good sucess rate in children But what is the situation like for adults? does the fact that the root is well- formed or not make a difference?
If anyone has experience in this field, or know there are references or books on the topic, could you please share your information?
thank you
