orthopedic surgery residency?

I will be starting school this fall and am interested in orthopedic surgery. Where can I find out the requirements/statistics for a good residency match in this field? Thanks!

Try medschool.com, they have a specialty profile section. That gives recommendations. But the short of it is AOA, or close and USMLE of 230+, and good recommendations will make you competitive.

But, if you are just starting school, you will have lots of time to get this info. Most of my class changed there mind on what they thought they wanted to do by match time. Sure is funny how many thought they were going into Peds, and ended up in something else.
