Any suggestions regarding med school selection when one wants to specialize in orthopedic surgery? Has anyone found one they particularly like and reccommend strongly?
Any thoughts, suggestions, etc. greatly appreciated.

You don't choose a medical school because you think it will prepare you well for orthopedic surgery, because no school will specifically "prepare" its students for any particular specialty. Since ortho is a competitive field, you want to get into as top quality a school as you can and do as well as you can. If you're wondering which schools have good ortho residencies or programs, take a look at the U.S. News hospital rankings -

I will also add that you should not look at that list and apply only to the schools that have top-ranking ortho programs with the hopes that it will increase your chances of getting into an ortho residency at that institution.
