Hi guys how do u solve for this question:
The osmotic pressure at STP of a solution made from 1 L of NaCl containing 117 g of NaCl:

the answer is 89.54 atm

You can derive the osmotic pressure formula from the ideal gas equation:

PV=nRT
Divide by V and get P=nRT/V
n/V =Moles/Liters=Molarity

Convert the NaCl to moles and divide by one Liter.

Osmotic Pressure =(Molarity)(0.0821)(Temp in K)

Sorry I would do it for you but no calc or table.

osmotic pressure = MRTi
M = molarity
R = 0.821
T = kelvin
i = moles solute

just do it.
