destroyer saysosteoblasts build bone, while osteoclasts break it down. if the body needs, calcium, bone is broken cdown by osteoclasts. PTH will stimulate osteoclastic activity while Calcitonin tones down th blood calcium level by decreasing osteoclastic activity.
kaplan says the activity of osteoblastic activity is regulated by PTH , while the activity of osteoclast is regulated by osteoblasts...the last part didnt make sense either.
which one is right....i would think kaplan is wrong and the activity of osteoblasdtic activity is regulated by calcitonin since your building a bone and therefore u need to decrease the blood/ca to make a bone
