Anyone know what the hell is going on for this years osteopathic residency/internship application process? I'm pretty sure the traditional internship application/match is way earlier and separate than the rest of the osteopathic programs but i'm still not sure how the rest of it works. Is every osteopathic program (traditional and specialitiy tract/linked inernship) going to be on ERAS? For example, if interested in a linked internship to emergency medicine how would that work? 😕

If anyone can put this into perspective and list dates of deadlines, things of that nature I'd appreciate, as well as everyone else who may feel clueless about this process.

Hello there:
This year, from what I understand ALL DO programs will be using ERAS for all applications.

Your deans office should be giving you a "token" that will allow you to create a MyERAS account to being your applications.

You will have to register for the AOA match seperately.

You will need your AOA # to register, and must register before October.


If you are applying for an internship spot linked to an EM residency, i believe that you would apply for the internship and residency at the same time, with the same application.

ERAS begins taking applications on July 15th for AOA match, I believe. For the allo match you can submit to ERAS from July on, but they actually accept your app on Sept 1st. The DO match is in late Jan (not sure the exact day) and the Allo match is March 16th. Hope that's helpful
