What are the general feelings on the Osteopathic rad residencies? As an Osteopathic student, is it wise to only apply to the 13 DO rad residencies, or to take the USMLE and apply broadly to allopathic ones as well? Are there any of the DO rad residencies that are considered "the best" ones?

Any answers to these questions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks:cool:

never limit yourself. take the USMLE and apply broadly. you may be surprised at how many allopathic offers you get.

probably the "best" DO rad residencies are the ones affiliated with MSU. of course the downside is you have to live in Detroit for 5 years.

any mid-tier MD university program will open more doors for you than even the MSU osteopathic residencies. remember, most DO programs are in smaller community hospitals. therefore you should expect the experience to be similar to a smaller MD community hospital residency.
