What are my chances in both the AOA and ACGME match? Which AOA programs are not as stringent on board scores? Thanks!

Another point you might want to investigate is how likely it is that the program will gain ACGME accreditation. Remember that the deadline is 2020, and Rads is a 5 year program.

Would residents in the program be SOL if the AOA program cannot gain ACGME accreditation?

You will match an ACGME program without question unless there is something else really wrong with your application.

As for AOA phasing out, I don't have much knowledge about AOA programs in general, but the ACGME is letting the community programs slide right now even though many are bombing the new boards. Radiology RRC only requires a 50% Core passage rate, and the minimum number of exams and procedures is not that high. Given the RRC's track record of not wanting to hurt anybody's feelings, I suspect that earning initial accreditation will not be that tall of an order.

The bigger question is why anyone would want to go to an AOA program in this day and age. Radiology is not that competitive anymore.

For a student of my caliber, which programs should I be focusing on?

RaiDOHopeful, I would say you will match somewhere no doubt with your step two score.

Can i apply as a DO with a 215 on USMLE Step One and not take USMLE Step 2? What are the chances of getting into a program? I see most programs on Freida (especially programs in NYC/NJ area which is where I want to be) do not require USMLE Step 2 and also most in this area were unfilled according to last year match stats. So can I just submit this USMLE Step 1, 1-2 letters of rec from radiologists, and be okay? Or is there no chance at all?
