OSU COMPLEX/USMLE pass rate

What's up -

I heard that this year OSU had a 100% pass rate on both the COMPLEX and USMLE. If true, that's awesome. It makes me want to go and beg, on my hands on me knees, for a seat in the class of 2009.

Has anyone else heard this?

I had a long message typed out, about mean/median/mode and pass rates and other fun stuff, but then I got timed out by the system. Oh well, here is a link, followed by the relevant quote, from the USMLE/COMLEX forum that stated what I was going to say.

I sat through a report from the NBOME at a conference last year. One of their statistics guru's talked about the validity of the test. Dont get so hyped up on pass rates, because the school that had the highest pass rate actually had like the 11th highest overall mean... hence people passed but didnt do that well overall. The class with the highest mean was like 7th in pass rates to my memory. One school had a 25% fail rate for women. What's better: to have a few people fail while the rest of the class rocks the test, or for everyone to pass, but barely. Of course, the school's names were veiled and hence we could not see what the true rankings were.

BTW, OSU-COM's mean score was the highest also.

I've been told the mean score was something almost 100 points better than the rest, has anyone also heard this? and no I'm not in the class of 06, I'm 07

This is, in fact, not true, as far as I know. I have been told that our mean was around 550. That puts our mean 50 points above national average.

And I do not know about the USMLE...I do know that everyone I have talked to passed, including the ones I was most worried about, so that speaks well of the effort.
