Just get a side job as a waitress... Pay off your loans faster and new guys come in every night and some will ask for your number. Its like speed dating at its best, plus you get to see what kind of credit card they have, black carbon is the best. lol kidding!

I still have one that my parents let me use. I don't ever use it except for food and gas, and few other things.
I just use my debit card since it's faster and less of a hassle.
I don't have any reason to doubt my ability to resist temptation... I think it was mostly the fact that my parents had some trouble with credit cards when they were young, and so they pounded it into my head that they were the devil and only to be used in emergencies. I've never had one, or (thankfully) the need for one.
Same here, my parents' credit is completely screwed up. Everything is under my name and I pay everything on time and way more than the min. Prolly why my credit score is 800 👍
Don't you need one to build credit? Yes, there are other ways, but I always thought it was the simplest and easiest way.
I LOVE credit cards... I think debit cards are a huge hassle. I always need to worry whether I will overdraw from my account or not. Plus, credit cards have cashback....
Just don't spend more than you have, and always pay ontime. I really don't see how that's so difficult.... you just dig yourself into such HUGE trouble by buying things you can't afford and it's SO not worth it down the line.

Meh, all you need is some kind of line of credit. It's probably the easiest since they hand credit cards out to anyone.
My debit has a rewards program, assuming that's what cashback is.
It may be, but I've never really had a problem with it. In my case, it's probably that I'd taken out several car loans and paid them off without issue. Only thing I can figure, anyway.

Nope, not kidding... got my first CC the day I turned 18 and then just used it instead of cash, paid it off every month. Been doing it ever since!

I go to a community college in AZ - go on my pharmapps to see the name , The only reason they're so expensive is b/c my school has some kind of agreement with Pearson books so ALL of our books are Pearson (which are one of the most expensive).... :/
& we have to buy MathLab/MyITLab/MyStatsLab/ Blackboard codes on top of books.... completely outrageous. 👎thumbdown👎thumbdown
I'm gonna go to the bank where I am taking out my loans and calculate how much of it I can pay off. If I am able to pay it all off in one year (only the amount I'm borrowing from the bank), then I won't have to worry about it. My other loans require the payment period to be longer than 10 years, but shorter than 25 years.
If I'm dating the girl I want to marry, then I might buy a ... you know. 😀
I would probably look at a new house and then a new car. I would still keep my current car since it gets good gas mileage (26 city -35 highway)
Mine cost $260. There's one book that I'm still using from last semester.
Two of my books are still going to be used next year in my other courses
I also bought course notes that the professors give us every semester. Those were $40 this time. In some classes, you'll have no books, but only course notes.
That is crazy! I am so grateful for having had the option of buying all my books online for cheap!

I learned a long time ago that buying textbooks for undergrad classes is stupid. I have not bought any textbooks (with the exception of my Marine Biology book because I liked it and my public speaking book because we used it in class) for the last 3 years. My trick is to ask the professor to put the textbook on course reserve and the solution manual if it is needed. Then, I force myself to study in the library where I can stay focused. One professor gave me an extra copy of the textbook to borrow for the semester. Most of the time, I didn't actually need the book because the professor's powerpoints/notes were enough.
