It always cracks me up when those people flee from the police in a ****ty ass car and are being chased by a throng of Dodge Chargers. I mean, really...do they think they are going to outrun all those cars AND the chopper?

I think they do it to get on the news. If your going down, might as well go down with a BANG.

Well, sometimes they know the area well enough to take shortcuts. But even if you do that, you'll be surprised how quickly a cop car catches up to someone.

I learned a long time ago that buying textbooks for undergrad classes is stupid. I have not bought any textbooks (with the exception of my Marine Biology book because I liked it and my public speaking book because we used it in class) for the last 3 years. My trick is to ask the professor to put the textbook on course reserve and the solution manual if it is needed. Then, I force myself to study in the library where I can stay focused. One professor gave me an extra copy of the textbook to borrow for the semester. Most of the time, I didn't actually need the book because the professor's powerpoints/notes were enough.

Yeah, I try not to buy textbooks. So far in med school I've spent less than $75 dollars on books (Clinical skills book and anatomy atlas) for everything else I rely on class notes and the internet.

I still have one that my parents let me use. I don't ever use it except for food and gas, and few other things.

I just use my debit card since it's faster and less of a hassle.

Yeah I only have one that my parents help me with for gas and food. It's an Amex so I actually also have a Mastercard in case some place doesn't accept that. I never buy anything else with them.

or a stripper 😛

Yeah but most guys don't want to be in a serious relationship with a stripper. Besides I don't think it would look really good to the patients if they come in one day and see Coco from Tootsies counseling them on their meds.

Unless that gets them connections with other pharmacists.

If you didn't look professional, patients would be nervous about trusting you

Back when I was shadowing a pharmacist, I had a jacket on the whole time, and no one in the pharmacy asked me a question because they could probably tell I didn't work there.

Underage stripping is no joke miss. This is America. lol

What about underage prostitution?? Is there really any difference?

Which appears classier to the male population?

Maybe I'm doing it all wrong, but I'm trying to knab a sugar daddy to pay for my education... 😛

haha yeah i am but nice job ruining my joke... seriously.

:meanie:

Would it be funny if we said "Better get that coat! It'll be cold working the streets tonight" lol That sounds wrong on so many levels, I know.

I saw a picture on lamebook.com once where a guy updated his status to say "is following in mom's footsteps" and one of his friends commented "better wear a jacket. it'll be cold working the streets!" and then the guy's dad commented "did one of your deadbeat friends just imply that my wife is a prostitute?"

I try to pay for the girl, but sometimes she insists on paying me back or even splitting the cost.

Do you guys think it is strange that Doctorates of Pharmacy degrees don't require a Bachelor's degree? Traditionally (back to the days of old England), a doctorate is only awarded when it is stacked on top of a Bachelor's degree. I believe that today in the UK, you can practice medicine with a Bachelor's (MBBS) and even this is not considered 'doctorate' level in the UK today. So do you think the 2+4 (two yrs of prereqs with no BS/BA) and 0+6 programs should not be awarded a doctorate? It surely goes against university tradition.

For me, I don't care and I know it is trivial (hence, why it is posted in this thread).

Dear IT Support,

Last year I upgraded from Boyfriend 5.0 to Husband 1.0 and noticed a slow down in the overall performance, particularly in the flower and jewelery applications that had operated flawlessly under Boyfriend 5.0.

In addition, Husband 1.0 uninstalled many other valuable programs, such as Romance 9.5 and Personal Attention 6.5, but installed undesirable programs such as Formula One 5.0, NBA 3.0, Premier League, Counter-Strike and World Cup 2.0.

And now Conversation 8.0 no longer runs and House Cleaning 2.6 simply crashes the system.

I've tried running Nagging 5.3 to fix these problems, but to no avail.

What can I do?

Signed,
Desperate

Dear Desperate,

First keep in mind: Boyfriend 5.0 is an entertainment package, while Husband 1.0 is an operating system. Try entering the command
C:\ I THOUGHT YOU LOVED ME and download Tears 6.2 to install Guilt 3.0.

If all works as designed, Husband 1.0 should then automatically run the applications Jewelery 2.0 and Flowers 3.5.

But remember, over use can cause Husband 1.0 to default to Grumpy Silence 2.5, Happy Hour 7.0 or Late Night Out 6.1. And Late Night 6.1 is a very bad program that will create SnoringLoudly.wav files.

Whatever you do, DO NOT install Mother-in-Law 1.0 or reinstall another Boyfriend program. These are not supported applications and will crash Husband 1.0.

In summary, Husband 1.0 is a great program, but it does have a limited memory and cannot learn new applications quickly.

You might consider additional software to improve memory and performance. I personally recommend Hot Food 3.0 and Lingerie 6.9.

Good Luck,

IT Support

lol what a great find.

what's wrong with strippers?😕😕

I never said there was anything wrong with them but we do live in an extremely conservative society (yes the US is still considered the most religious Westernized country) so I don't think it would be very wise to pay your way through pharmacy school as a stripper. I'm sure the adcoms and future employers might look down upon it, and the last thing someone needs in an already hyper competitive environment is one more knock against them.

I went to the University of Miami which is an absolute complete bitter rival of the University of Florida football team.

It's all about the

over here.

LOL

I actually worked with a lot of strippers when I was a cocktail waitress (I didn't work in a strip club, but they had second jobs at the place I worked or they were 'retired') and they were usually married or had boyfriends with kids. I'm not saying that no men will date a stripper... but it's a heck of a lot harder to gain respect and trust from a man if that is your job. I also know girls who I went to school with who became strippers in my hometown and a lot of times their boyfriends broke up with them or the guys would talk about how they would never date them now that they worked there. As for the guys in the lounge... LOL They are obviously planning on using their title as a Dr. and decent salary to win over chicks so that speaks volumes to the type of girls they will attract. Not saying that most successful confident guys don't use that as a leverage to pick up any type of woman, but it's usually easier because the girl already makes her money from services to guys.

Building my post count! LOL kidding.

A lot of the well known popular schools in California implicitly or explicitly require bachelor's degrees now... not saying this will definitely start a trend, but it's just an observation. Some CC students or 0-6 students have proven to do well in pharmacy school... but I think most people who spent time at a university will agree that you never know how much you can grow and mature as a person in those few short years. High school is WAY different than college... I was a complete party animal, missed 45 days of class my senior year, took all AP and duel enrollment courses, graduated salutatorian with a 4.85 weighted GPA, entered college with 32 credits, and I thought I was the smartest thing ever. College brought on a whole new parade of responsibilities and situations that I could have never imagined. I've also done course work at the best community college in the country (it now has the power to grant bachelor degrees so technically it's just a 'college' now) and it was nowhere near the competitiveness of the university I attended. The professors were great and the class was challenging, but you don't have as much competition from the pre-meds, pre-dentals, pre-vets, pre-pharms, etc as you do in the university. This is very important when you are in a class that uses the bell shaped curve. When you up against 200 other gunners who NEED an A in their sciences to get into their professional school of their choice... it's a lot harder to stay at the top.

I was really just kidding. I do not intend on stripping to pay my way through school lol.... I'll take out loans like everyone else 🙂

LOL yeah I didn't think so I just figured it wouldn't be good for anyone in general... I was actually reading something on the internet once on one of those sites like textfromlastnight.com and some girl said said was 'at work' and her professor walked in. Talk about awkward.
