It's 50K a year. I remember it from one of the interviews at a pharmacy school.

So 13K will cover 20% of graduates not 10%.

20% employment is better than 10%. YAY!

So I think I might be getting greedy or impatient.

I already have high speed internet which is faster than what my parents have, but now I want to sign up for something even faster - Just as fast as the high speed internet at school.

My regular internet is 20/5, and my phone internet is 34/15 (26/10 when I use it as a wifi hotspot). But my phone's data plan gets used up fairly quickly if I connect to the hotspot.

I remember when people started bragging about having a 56K modem in AOL chat rooms. Ahhh yes, AOL 2.5....no font colors in IMs, IM bombs, chat bombs, meeting people from random cities,, message boards...the internet sux now.

Lulz I had compuserve

I only have 10mb down at home. Why need more?

/remembers blazing along on a 386mhz dos-based AOL 1.0 with a modem @ 2.4kbps

I know less than 100 ms ping is pretty good, which I already have.

I guess I'm just getting more and more impatient after getting used to high speed internet.

Let's change the subject real quick.

What deals did you get on Black Friday?

All my x-mas shopping plus a new TV and a some blu-rays.

I don't know how we used to live. I flip my lid if it takes more than one sec. to load a website.

Target had Battleship, Jenga, and Connect Four for $7 each at midnight.

So when I showed up at 6:45 (comic book store next door had $1 back issues from 6-7 am), they still had the games. The place looked like it had been pillaged.

The kids were happy when I returned from my hour of casual Black Friday shopping. 👍

So I dunno if it's just the few people I know, but P4s on rotations generally seem like they're too busy to talk to other pharmacy students or answer questions we might have. I just feel like they're never available when I need them 🙁

it's mostly when I want a student's perspective and I know the ones on rotations would be able to answer them well

Got the most awesome error message from Google Documents today:

"This document has reached the 400,000 cell per spreadsheet limit."

Go Fisher Scientific!! :highfive:

How are you reaching out to them?

This never gets old:

As a pharmacist you have two options:

1) Retail
2) Residency

Disclaimer: The above is NOT an actual quote. It is simply how I paraphrased.

Why do we always ignore everything else that a pharmacist can do?

Anyone well traveled in Canada and/or the Caribbean have vacation destination recommendations (I've only been to Montreal and Windsor). My vacation options just got limited to N. America + Caribbean.

I'd go with the Caribbean, since it sounds nice. But I'd have to look up the food and the nature to prepare myself.

You know you're getting used to presenting when you can do a thirty minute presentation on a complex topic at 9 am after only 2 hours of sleep and no breakfast. Amazing how pharmacy school gets rid of your fear of public speaking....

Comcast (cable company) offers 100/100 mbps in most metro areas. It is just not advertised to consumers, and requires a 2 year contract. Other companies may have similar plans. Only reason I didnt buy it is that I dont know if i will be moving to an area serviced by comcast after school ends.

I feel like 20mbps is the bare minimum these days. I download a lot of bluray discs and rips (around a tb per month), but dont feel restricted by my 45/5 line. 20mbps line seems appropriate for anything up to around 500gb/month

Nice. I forgot to mention central america is included as well. Except mainland Mexico.

I can actually stay in Belize and the Bahamas for either free or close to it, so both are high on our list.

Go to Belize!

Must see:
Belize Zoo
Xunantunich
Mennonites - in Belize... WTF
Shopping in Belize City - street vendors and such
Cockscomb Basin jaguar preserve
Barrier Reef snorkling
South Water Caye

😍 Belize

How did you find out if it wasn't advertised? I'd like to know if I can get something insanely fast for not too expensive.

Read a news article about it and called them.

Also they will offer it to you if you consistently download too much (>300gb/month or so)

The closest I get is 150gb a month.

Right now I'm allowed 250gb a month.

The highest offered is 50MBps with 400gb a month, but it's $100 per month.

So in that plan that wasn't advertised, was it a lot more expensive?

Edit: apparently in some places (Virginia around DC), the highest is 100 Mbps for about $110 per month.

I'd recommend going with a phone company. I'm paying $30/month for uncapped 50 atm, comcast's uncapped 100/100 was $215. 🙁 Which is insane really. Compared to europe where I am paying $25 for 1000/1000 with a 3tb cap (commercial)
