Wow this temporary phone i have is horrible... I hope my flight isnt delayed next week... I think its only supposed to be in the 40s or 50s in fl and ga though...

The new BB browser is much better than the old.

I'm on a Curve 8900 at the moment, although if the 8910 has 3G I'm gonna switch to that

I checked them out right before I upgraded to my current 3GS (The original one I had since launch got beat up quite a bit in Iraq) and looked at the Storm, Curve and one other one and it was just nowhere near the functionality of the iPhone's Safari browser.

The Storm1 is a POS, but the Storm2 is much better.

I will conceed that fact, I don't do a lot of web browsing on my phone. Hell I don't even have a data plan.

The two things an iPhone would have to change in order for me to buy one would be:

1) Physical Keyboard
2) Customizable themes. I switch my theme/background on my BB every other week lol

I have to have a full keyboard on mine because I like the tactile factor of it. I don't have to look at my phone to know what I'm typing.

And I text. A lot lol

Not that I'd EVER text while driving, but I am so used to the touchpad I can text without looking. It did take a really long time, though.

@Nicole: I did mine under "Non-science", Fresh/Soph. At UCD, the honors program is IST199, and even though it's got a lot of science material, it's still not a "science" class (Not under the auspices of College of Biological Sciences).

So, yes, they're humanities credits (At least that's how it ended up working for me and no one's raised an eyebrow at it).

cool thank you!! so should i not take a music appreciation class? I was going to take that as another arts/humanities credit in the summer....

lol not that much (I only really text like 2-3 people on a regular basis), but if I remember when I get home I will show you proof of how nerdy I am
hahahaha that's not nerdy, that's TRENDY

Android phones!

You could use an unlocked phone on ATT/Cing but then it's relegated to the 2G network and thats just a gimped smart phone. Google maps/google nav can get annoying if you're stuck on an EDGE or GPRS pocket. Luckily (at least for me), I hate living in rural areas so I'll always have service with t-mo lol.

I also hate rural areas, and I never cease to have 3G coverage with my iPhone. Not sure why people complain about AT&T service. I have used it all over California, even in San Francisco where everyone complains that it's slow, and never really have a problem.

I would switch carriers, except I've been with AT&T since they were Cingular, since THEY were Pacific Bell Wireless, since THEY were AirTouch Wireless, and since THEY were Cellular One (Since 1998).

The people who bitch about AT&T are the ones who are trying to download a 50MB file while going up and elevator in a 50 story building.

I haven't had a dropped call in years, never had any problem with the data service. It's just that iPhone people, and no offense to you Sci, are taxing a system that was never fully designed to be taxed in that way.

I can't get into ethiopian... I've only tried a couple times though. I had Noodles & Co. Not exciting, but free 🙂

Ahh I consider myself a total foodie, too.. but you've hit on 3 of my least favorites. Ha, I promise I really am not a picky eater...

UNC vs. Dook and the Capitals playing. Busy night for me  Yuengling tonight (on a pre-pharm budget). What is everyone else up to?

So! What did everyone have for dinner? I am eating Ethiopian 🙂 🙂

I had three servings of crackers and a cup of coffee. Been so busy with midterms no time to shop. 🙁

Do you like Indian food? Greek? I'm a total foodie.
Have you ever eaten at Daphne's Cafe? mmmm I love authentic Greek food.

Idk if you like Hawaiian but there is this hole in the wall in Mesa (a bit of a way from you) that is sooooo delicious!

I've never had daphnes...I eat ethiopian at blue nile on university and rural. My fav indian place is called dhaba on mcclintock and apache....where's the hawaiian place?
Aloha Kitchen is located between Alma School Rd and Guadalupe Rd

If you go, get their Bulkogi Plate. It's very filling.

Steamed rice (Best $59 I ever spent at Target = Rice steamer!) with fresh steamed broccoli, russet potatoes, spinach, cauliflower and grilled chicken with soy sauce.
my mom uses her rice steamer so much! The thing is getting rusty. I love steamed veggies. Do you and your wife buy frozen veggies or fresh ones?

Fresh, ONLY fresh! We have an awesome fruit/veggie stand just a couple blocks away, one of the benefits of living in green-conscious Davis. Every 3 days or so she or I (Usually me, since I'm the more domestic of the two of us) go and get a whole bunch of stuff.

I like frozen fruit (Like blackberries, strawberries, etc) only for dessert making (Like vanilla ice cream with blackberries and bananas - Blackberries are only good for such a short time, keeping fresh ones is an onerous task).

It's a bit more expensive but I'm convinced they taste better. Of course, I think the jury is still out on whether frozen veggies offer the same bioavailability of nutrients that fresh do.

I always hear frozen has as many or more nutrients - since it's frozen as soon as it's harvested. Who knows though... On another note... Every kitchen needs a slow cooker. Spend a few minutes in the morning, come home to a delicious meal 🙂

I wake up at 6:30 AM to be at work by 7:00 AM most days now since I'm just marking time until this fall, so I definitely don't have even a few minutes to spare, heh.

But slow cookers/roasters are really great. I have a nice one that I got at the same time as my rice steamer, quesadilla griller, and a handful of other domesticities.

I could not liiiive without my iPhone!

Oh thanks guys you're making this so much easier on me 😛 ... I lost mine downtown somewhere but I can't risk waiting until the insurance sends me a new one so I have a Go Phone and it's kind of depressing.

I can't use the iPhone very effectively because I find it difficult to touch the screen properly with my nails... I don't have fake or really ridiculously long nails but it is still hard if they're medium length.

It's 54 degrees tonight... how is it warmer in California than it is south of Miami? LOL

do honors course count as humanities credits???
at my school they're considered humanities & intensive writing courses, however i'm not sure how pharmacy schools feel about them, would they just be extra electives?

It depends what subject the honors course is. When I was in undergrad one option was Organic Chemisty honors, but that wasn't a very popular course obviously... LOL I took my honors courses in the humanities, and some where W (writing) credits and some weren't. I honestly don't think the pharmacy schools really care that I took them, but there is a place on PharmCAS where it asks what sort of course it was (honors, distance learning, advanced placement, etc). For example, my World Religions course was Honors and Writing Intensive... but my Sociology Honors was not a W course.

LOL @ Pacific Bell... I've been with AT&T since they were Southern Bell.

(I guess they named it after the region in the US huh?)

I agree... I've never had a problem with AT&T... I don't really know what you would consider rural because I guess most places in Florida aren't really rural, but I've never had bad coverage... even visiting my grandparents who live about an hour outside of UF (which is rural IMO).

Me either! I made pancakes for dinner. LOL

(I like Greek food BTW... there is a place on South Beach called Taverna Opa and you can dance on the tables, break plates, and throw napkins everywhere... pretty awesome)

Just a little Chicken Kiev and Shells and Cheese.

Nothin special

Do you buy the frozen Barber brand stuffed chicken things you put in the oven??!!?? I live off those things! I like the brie and apple ones too, and the cordon bleu.

It's funny because my boyfriend and I normally make them with Velveeta macaroni/shells.

I heard the same thing... who knows if it's true...

The only frozen produce I eat are peas when I make risotto, and strawberries/pineapples/peaches for smoothies (but I use fresh bananas).

Yep, Southern Bell = Pacific Bell.
