that's better. Avatar = too small. =/

I'm assuming that's your wife. Is she few years younger than you? She seems like she would be, because I know a 4th year medical student who looks like she would be about her age.

What.THE.Hell.

If he refused to pay I'd walk out... he'd be washing dishes to pay for that dinner b/c I'd order one of everything off the menu just for that.....

Some guys are so vile.

You seem WAY too nice, you should let guys treat YOU, not the other way around. 🙁

Wouldn't you want to show that you are perfectly capable of taking yourself?

Nicole- I recall someone saying they were from your school, but I didn't talk to him. If you talk to him, just ask him if her remembers the girl with long curly hair who Dr. Tong teased about going to Arizona State. 🙂

As for the swingers discussion, I think most people would agree that the 3 and 7 year itches are very real. Adding in a 3rd party can certainly spice things up, though.

At almost four years in my relationship, I've only wanted to stray one time and I was extremely inebriated. Thankfully, I was brought back to my senses post-hangover. Drinking is bad mmmmkay.

Heck yeah!

yes, i'm highly capable of showing my own, but i think it's correct for the man to pay. call me old fashioned, but i think it shows a sign of respect and "taking care" of his woman. anytime i go out, guys pay for me. i'm accustomed to it you could say, however i just think too many guys degrade women and just "expect" some kind of treat, for example stay at home dads. idk if any of you have seen Househusbands of Hollywood or whatever it's called but man, those guys are prime examples of leeches. i'm not saying that me "expecting" to be paid for isnt the same thing, but i truly know i provide great company to any engagement i attend whether it be a dinner date or just playing xbox.... whatever it may be. i'm a fun person to be around (i know that sounds shallow and overly confident), and i think a guy should respect that. i don't go out with just anyone, i have high standards for people and i expect those standards to be maintained and withheld. if a guy pays once, he's always going to pay. i don't want no SCRUBS.

That could be quite risky though. Some guys might start to think that you can't pay for yourself (if anyone actually does think that).

So if a guy went broke (because he's still a student) and couldn't take you out as often, you'd stop seeing him instead of offering to at least split the tab?

idc. he should be able to pay no matter what. if he went broke we just wouldn't be going out to dinner. easily solves that problem. i dont think i'm being demanding here, it's not like i eat @ chez 5 star ristorante or expect some kind of lavish gifts here.... i just think he should pick up the tab if he decides to TAKE ME OUT.

So I guess you aren't the type to be offended if I were to open a door for you. 🙂 ... That's always awkward.

Well what if you wanted to? You may feel like going out to eat dinner but find that the guy is short on money but you have enough to pay for you own.

lol when you are in a relationship like Sci and I are, you learn to be open about these types of things. If you keep it bottled in it'll come out in less productive ways

As long as it doesn't involve her friends or her best friend right? Because I know that's always risky and dangerous.

I know I've talked to Tinkerbell about something related to this.

You know, I don't know. A lot of our friends are married / are in long-term commitments, and they don't take nicely to people "appreciating" their wives... It's a territory thing, I think.

My really really good friends and I can do that, but then again we all have different tastes in women and would never dream of going for one another's wives

Generally yea. I mean one of her friends is down right beautiful and we have both discussed it.

Like she is obsessed with Gerard Butler and I have my rocker chick. Nothin wrong with that

Yeah... I suppose a lot of people wouldn't take too nicely to someone else appreciating their wives (no euphemism intended lol). I guess I'm thinking of a different situation... like when a guy takes it as a compliment or an ego boost if someone compliments his girlfriend or wife...

It is nice when someone says your sig other is hot lol

Makes you feel like you've accomplished something

That's what I always thought too.

I guess guys can be territorial though in some circumstances... especially if their "friends" have a history of trying to steal their girlfriends or something.

That's true, I also depends on how its worded and the situation its in. I can tell my best friend that his fiancee looks pretty or beautiful or what not in some circumstance, but we both know it means nothing.
