That happens everywhere, my friend. Not so much with guys, but women it does.

Yes it does. But from the way cheb talked about her bf experiences in this off topic thread... I thought cheb played with boys haha. I suppose they aren't mutually exclusive, girls are game too

You really should go sit by her one day. Then ask her a question about some topic from the class to get the convo going. Either that, or wave when she looks...and definitely smile 🙂

Well, I know I should try that. But I heard she has a boyfriend. I dunno how serious they are or if they even get along very well. She's usually really quiet unless I talk to her. I did that one time and made a joke about something she said, and she thought it was really funny 🙂 Her friends thought it was too.

We're friends on FB, but we rarely talk 🙁

Man, you need some lessons on pickin up chicks. No offense or anything, but you have a window of opportunity here! If I went to visit you, I would have to smack you over the head with a book. You "heard" she had a bf but have not confirmed it? C'mon, if she is looking over at you and stuff, at least just wave and smile. Ask her if she wants some coffee or something.

:slap:

I've always wanted to use this smiley haha

Taking a wild guess and saying that means dog in Russian? 😳

Edit: All this talk about dating makes me feel like I'd be totally screwed if the unspeakable occurred and I found myself single again. I bet I don't have any predatory instincts anymore... Like a bearded dragon domesticated then set free, I'd be helpless.

It's just like riding a bicycle.

EDIT: or so I hear...

Well, my best friend heard it from her best friend, so I thought it had to be true. I could definitely do that this weekend if it doesn't freeze at all.

I should probably take my beta blocker first so my heart isn't racing, because she's really pretty, and I would get so nervous lol

By choice?

Every New Year they have all these commercials on TV for Match.com and eHarmony and chemistry.com. I guess people really want to start the year off right. I've never used a dating site before.

I guess there is always Craigslist. LOL

Never dated enough when I was young to work out the awkwardness. It's hard to know where to start from. 😕

In between girlfriends back in undergrad, I tried American Singles (not sure if it's still around) and both girls I met through there ended up being university students themselves and we had a pretty good time. Both "datings" ended up to be a few months each, which is pretty good considering.

I really think online sites get a bad rap, like many things that people are prejudiced against.

You have a point...I also think it presents the opportunity to weed out all the stuff that would just waste your time- being compatible when it comes to religion, beliefs, politics, etc. But, with those big comprehensive online personals (like eHarmony), it is such a "perfect" match that there is no intrigue...you already know everything they like, don't you? I have to have intrigue. But of course, I only know what I have seen my friends use which was just the eHarmony.

I thought it was bad rep, unless they started playing music on those websites 😆

Green eyes make my knees wobble, but not so much the red hair. But green eyes and dark hair = 😍

I love love love brunettes with light eyes (Adriana Lima!), but then again I'm biased because I'm brunette with green eyes. LOL I much prefer the Victoria Secret models over the Playboy models though. They're more natural... I do really like Kendra Wilkinson though... she's really ditzy and has an annoying laugh, but I really feel like she's a nice person for some reason. She just has a cool & easy going personality.

???

Then again I guess it is San Francisco ...

I grew up in Key West and I get asked out by women more than you would think. Then again... one of my best friends and neighbors is a self proclaimed "****" (ie: she doesn't consider herself fem).

LOL they censor that word?? LOL

How do people edit the title under their user name/handle? I can't seem to find it in the options/account settings

Why does it seem like the topic of girls comes up in this thread at least once a day? 😀

Playboy models look so fake...the blonde bimbos they've got in there just don't do it.

I do not go for the typical girl, the women you see in magazines and such don't really do anything for me.

The girl I was with before I met my wife is still hands down the most beautiful girl I have ever laid eyes on and oddly enough she was a blonde with blue eyes

I met a girl like that at a party one time. I kinda lost interest in her after a while.

I have nothing against blondes, but most of the girls I like are brunettes.

Is it prejudice to say you are attracted to people of some ethnicities more than others?

If some ethnicities are more common in your area, then it wouldn't matter.

But if you're attracted because of having more things in common or you're just looking for a certain cultural background, then I guess it would be ok.

Race shouldn't matter because if you like someone, you like someone no matter what the person's race is.

I don't think so.

You are attracted to certain things or characteristics. A certain ethnicity might have more of these characteristics.

Its not a question of like, it's a question of attraction. for example, I usually find myself attracted to Asian guys physically (based purely on looks) but I have dated more white guys than Asian guys. They are two different things (like and attraction), although usually have some type of correlation.

Personal preferences, no problem. If you ever say you would never date someone of a particular race... that's an issue.

Or that episode in 30 Rock where James Franco gets with the anime chick pillow.....

I'm the same way... I normally find people very attractive who are either different looking/exotic or very all-American manly guys... not the pretty model boys you see in a magazine (except Channing Tatum- I make an exception LOL)... I can usually find something good about everyone... like, I'm normally not attracted to blondes but I have a friend who has light blonde hair/blue eyes and I think she is really beautiful... and she's a really nice person which makes me like people a whole lot more.

Is it prejudice to say you are attracted to people of some ethnicities more than others?

I don't think so... I mean everyone has their preferences. I would never deny someone in a relationship based off ethnicity alone though because I have met people of all races who I thought were attractive and had great personalities.

For example... my boyfriend is a 100% white boy and it is obvious... LOL I seem to be most attracted to tan-ish, brunette guys, but he happens to be kind of tan with brown eyes and hair so it works out good.

I love brown eyes and brown hair.

Is that boring?

Definitely not... I used to want brown contacts when I was younger because I felt like a freak... a lot of people go crazy for the all-American classic beauty.
