Hello,
I am trying to decide between the two schools I was accepted into: Colorado State and LSU Shreveport (my hometown where I haven't lived for 6 years).
LSU is a clinical based program attached to a Medical Center while CSU is on a big college campus and more research/theory based. CSU has a strong reputation but is more expensive. I like how they have fieldwork throughout the program rather than only at the very end, like LSU. I like the idea of living in Co more than La but I think the practical decision may be to go to LSU since I'll likely be too busy to enjoy the region much and it's less expensive. Any insight is helpful!

If you want to live in Colorado after graduation, I'd suggest going to Colorado State. I lived/worked in the Denver area for almost 10 years and regret moving away. Employers in most fields were flooded with resumes by people who wanted to move there because they liked hiking and skiing.

When I had physical therapy while living there, the PT told me that employers prefer CSU grads mostly because CSU has such a good reputation and they don't know much about other schools. I assume that is similar for OT as well.

I'd go to LSU man. I was just telling someone this... always go for the cheaper option. In the end, your degree won't matter... whether you passed your NBCOT exam or not is what will.

wow, you really have a tough decision with equal pros and cons. close your eyes and clear your mind. where does your gut instinct tell you to go? don't think about it too hard. that is your answer!
