OTCAS question - can you submit your application to OTCAS schools one at a time (in order to prioritize early deadlines) or does the system force you to submit to all selected programs simultaneously? I am very much hoping I can get apps in incrementally as opposed to rushing to write all supplemental essays at once.

You can submit one at a time. Go to the submit app tab and pick the school you want to submit!

Wow perfect timing, this is the question I was about to ask. Thanks for asking!

Thanks for the answer! So to clarify, you can still fill out the "questions" sections from other schools' applications after you submit to one school?

Yes it will only submit the school you payed for and all the other school will be open to answer program specific questions

However, when you submit to one school and verified. You cannot edit anymore of your supporting materials. Only can edit those supplemental essays pertaining to schools you have not submitted/paid for.

make sure that your transcripts and future courses on the entry portion match up with all of the requirements for the programs that you're waiting to apply to...you can't add more courses once the app is verified..but yes one by one!

What about letters of recommendation? One of the schools I'm applying to requires a specific course instructor to write a letter. The original person I had just informed me of a family emergency. I can probably get someone else to write it, but if it has to be submitted before my first application it would only give them a couple weeks as my first application is due mid November. This schools application isn't due until mid December.

Transcripts and References Not Required to Submit
You may Submit and Pay for your programs at any time once the required information has been filled out on the online application, regardless as to whether or not your transcripts and letters of reference have been received by OTCAS . Please note, however, that OTCAS will NOT begin to review your application until you have submitted and paid, and all of your transcripts have been processed to your account, which will “complete” your application. Once your application becomes complete, it will be placed in line for verification.

That's from OTCAS's website. So I think you can send out the request for that specific recommendation ASAP, to give the person as much time to write it as possible, but submit the application as soon as you send the request. you can submit your application without having received all of your recommendations, so just send out the request and then submit, that's what I think I'd do
