Hello everyone!

In regards to OTCAS, I've heard that I can enter the majority of my information in around June. I know that various programs have dates of when their applications open in July, but can I have most of my application ready before the specific program open date?

This would include having LORs and observatio hours entered as well (I'm unsure of how that process works)

You can enter the majority of your information now and then when the new cycle opens most of that will carry over. I know that LORs don't carry over so wait until the new cycle opens to request those but observation hours should be good.

Also, when looking at the observation hours entered, it looks like it's more of an honor system? I don't see anywhere that the OT/COTA has to verify the hours that you put in...is this just something that will be asked of us for the specific programs?

Clarify with your chosen programs! Some programs I applied to had separate hours documents that I had to upload in the additional document category. However, some do just follow the honor system. If it's not on the websites of the programs you're applying to, it can't hurt to email or call to make sure!

Do you also know if transcript information will carry over as well?

All the class information and grades that you enter will carry over and I'm not 100% sure about if your physically sent transcripts will but I'm going to assume not.
