General Admissions & OTCAS OTCAS Transcript Submission Questions

I apologize if these questions have been asked before, but can't find them addressed directly in a search here or on the OTCAS FAQs.

Here are my 2 questions:

1. Does OTCAS accept electronic transcripts sent directly from registrars? One of my schools had that listed as an option (which I chose), but everything I'm reading now refers to transcripts as being "mailed" to a physical PO Box.
(Just want to be sure they receive; otherwise, I'll know to send again snail mail).

2. In terms of timing, once you get confirmation from the schools that your transcript has been sent, give some time for mailing and for OTCAS to process etc., how long before you see an indication that OTCAS has it in hand and it's been matched to your app? Days, weeks?
I know verification takes longer, but just curious about receipt of the materials.

I had all my transcripts mailed to OTCAS since they provided the P.O. BOX. I didn't have the option to electronically send them so I never inquired about that.

In regards to the timeline of when materials arrive, it may vary from 2-4 weeks. At this time they are receiving tons of transcripts so it may take some time to get through them.

As far as I know they only accept transcripts to the PO box they have listed. You could always call them and ask to see if they accept e transcripts, but my guess is they want to keep it uniform and have them all coming into the same spot to minimize the chance of any getting lost. I believe when I submitted mine last year it took between 10 days - 2 weeks for all of my transcripts to arrive. But I have heard during busy times it could take longer. It seems like you are getting started pretty early so as long as you have plenty of time before your program deadline you should be fine. If you have any more questions, don't hesitate.
