Ottawa U Pre-Med? and IB help?

I live in Canada and attend a private school. We are offered IB in grade 11 and 12. I am heading into grade 11 and would like some advice/tips on getting into Ottawa U's Pre-Med (Health Science) program. Apparently it requires an 83 average... is that considered low? I heard IB will boost your mark. Can anyone explain to me the way Universities convert IB marks?

My grade 11 courses are:

IB SL Functions
IB Chemistry
IB Biology
IB French
Psychology
English
Music
Health/Kinesiology
