I am an out of state student hoping for an interview from these state schools. Has anyone from out of state got an interview here yet?

Does anyone know when and why they choose the out-of-staters they do?

Aiight!

OU takes 18% of their class from out-of-state and UMDNJ takes about 50%. On my interview at UMDNJ in September half the people being interviewed were from out-of-state and I also received an interview invite from OU in September, which I declined because of the contract, so they both have been interviewing people for a while.

Here is a pretty informative thread about UMDNJ.

Good luck, it is not over yet.

I'm an out of stater and was accepted to both schools, I think like most it depends on how strong of a candidate you are. I happened to like OU much better.

Does UNMDJ have a wireless internet system? What about housing? Ohh, are there any sharing of professors between the MD and DO programs?
Thanks guys!

UMDNJ has wireless internet in the library ATM but I believe there are plans to expand it if it hasn't already. Some of the anatomy professors are shared with Robert Wood Johnson (one of the MD UMDNJ schools). There is no housing but the school sends you a huge packet of apartments with prices from the surrounding area, anywhere from 500 - 1500 depending on your space requirements. Good luck
