Gotta love the ND haters. They're 8-0 and people are still hating on them...
That's true, but as others have said, there seems to be a desire amongst the media to have ND be "back." Musburger and Herbstreit were hyping ND really hard last night and it seems that everyone else has followed suit. Everyone seems to have forgotten that they beat Purdue by 3, had to rally in the second half to top BYU, and beat Stanford with the help of a blown call in OT.
The problem is, they had a "defining" win against OU, giving them better NC chances. But the final score doesn't take into account that it should have been 30-27 at least.

HAHAHA are you kidding me? I'll give you the exact moment on the espn highlight reel to watch:

About 50 seconds in or so.
It's an incredibly clear hold. They even circle it for you if you still quite can't make it out. Nobody disputed the hold, OU was just pissed that they took so long to throw the flag.
As for the second TD, whatever. It was a gimme TD anyway considering they had 4 plays to go a half yard. How about don't be an idiot and get an offensive pass interference call when you only have to move the ball half a yard.

Get over it, ND haters. Keep making up reasons why our wins aren't wins. In the mean time, we have beaten UM, MSU, Stanford, Oklahoma, and good Miami/BYU teams.
I would not call the last two "good."
They totally broke down around the second half of the fourth quarter. ND should not have been able to run in that last TD so easily, the defense was just giving up after that interception. They were just pissed that they were getting beaten at home against a team they were supposed ti be favorites against.
What did I tell y'all? Notre Dame is ahead of Oregon in the BCS standings now.
Because ND beat a ranked team and Oregon did not. It doesn't mean one's inherently better than the other.
If both stay undefeated, then Oregon will probably end up on top based on schedule. ND only edged Oregon by 0.001 in the BCS and Oregon has 3 ranked opponents left while ND only has 1What did I tell y'all? Notre Dame is ahead of Oregon in the BCS standings now.

Sounds like a mess. When's that playoff start again?
Whoa whoa bros... I thought TCU was Big East??? Kansas State has to go through them.
Sorry about To$h, but I have a feeling you guys might get us back if Tedford is canned...I think Justin Wilcox is ready for head coaching and Cal would be a potential landing spot for him. Anyhow, looking forward to the game Friday night!
As for that Pitt-Irish game...I'm not feeling quite as enthusiastic.
K-state has games against Oklahoma State, Baylor, TCU, and Texas. While they are a good team, I can definitely seeing them losing one of those games.

To update: I will eat my words. I did not expect ND to go undefeated during the regular season. I expected their biggest challenge was to come from USC and not Pitt (one short field goal in OT to put ND at 11-1 and out of the NCG picture) although from watching them, they definitely play down to weaker opponents and step up against better teams. I think that ND deserves to be in the championship game although I do not consider them to be the best (or even second best) team in the country. Good luck to ND in hopefully dethroning the SEC from their 6-year championship streak.
I hope ND will at least make a game out of it against the SEC counterpart.
