He decided to step away from the forum. His reasons are his own but it'd be inaccurate to say it was any one thing or person. I hope he returns at some point.is he leaving or something?
I think a lot of people appreciated his contributions to the forum. An internet forum though is the kind of thing you can walk away from and come back to at will. So guess he will come back and/or leave again whenever he feels like it.

Ok, who pissed off FFP?
All I know is that he just kept pacing and muttering about some long-haired self-righteous a-hole from Colorado. Anyone know who that could be?

He left in spectacular fashion lol.

no idea but I’ll keep my eyes open for sure.
But to be clear, those guys are a dime a dozen out here. However, Nowhere as many as cali has. 🖕🏻
FFP is clearly a strong physician with a great depth of knowledge, So... I say let's give him the respect he deserves for being an avid contributor to this forum, and let's just move on hoping that what ever he is dealing with at this point is only temporary and that he will soon be back to us.
One important part of being on this forum has always been that we understand each other, we know when someone is hurting, and we know how to be supportive, let's not change that.

Of course the guy who contributes more than 90% of sdners gets complaints and the soft woke losers with zero contributions score another victory.
I think we all hope he returns after some time away. We all benefit from different backgrounds and points of view. He brought a lot to the forum.
To be clear, this wasn't moderator action or complaints we acted on. I'll miss his contributions.Of course the guy who contributes more than 90% of sdners gets complaints and the soft woke losers with zero contributions score another victory.
and the soft woke losers
They prefer the term “soy boys” but I know you probably didn’t want to get banned like a former member of the forum.
Can someone explain what happened?
The SDN rainbow logo got to him...Can someone explain what happened?
That is uncalled for. I can't think of a better way to show ppl that you care for them. That you care for their well-being, their health, their life and that you will treat them with dignity. That you care so much that you are willing to make the big sacrifices and put in all that time and effort that it took to change the logo. The SDN rainbow logo got to him...
I'm guessing that you didn't guess that gassyous was guessing that it was due to the aforementioned group wearing FFP down. And not the moderators/moderator action who do a great job for something that is a thankless job most of the time (shameless flattery). To be clear, this wasn't moderator action or complaints we acted on. As I get older, I realize that it is disheartening when someone 10-20 years younger (child, coworker, etc) assume they are right and you are an idiot without even hearing/having a discussion.

But I think we were all there at one point. Talked to a few doctors before med school, all of them would say something along the line, make sure it’s what you want to do. It will be the hardest thing you’ve ever done..... I chuckled.
I find myself telling young people the same thing now, I am sure they chuckle too.

It’s never a bad decision to step away from all forms of social media. I’ll miss his clinical insights and I wish him well.
Read no lies hereHes a good dude. Just need a ride and some weed
I agree with what you're saying but also to be fair it's not just young people that assume they're correct. Even if we're "sticking to medicine" we all had attendings in training who swore their way was the right way and there was no discussing it until you worked with a more UpToDate, younger attending and you realize the former was practicing neanderthal medicine.I'm guessing that you didn't guess that gassyous was guessing that it was due to the aforementioned group wearing FFP down. The problem is the anonymity of the internet just allows everyone to scream real loud even if they're wrong.
