I'm abroad this year doing post-grad research and cannot receive long-distance phone calls. Do schools contact us via email (in addition to phone) about interview invites?

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe most schools send interview invites via email.

Every school emails (I think), and some also call in addition to email.
