When you are interested in several options out there but still unsure.
If I interview with practice A and receive an offer, is it ok to ask for time, so I can interview with practice B and be able to compare/make proper decision? How people usually manage this situations? How soon do I get an offer after the interview if everything goes well?

Sure why not? If they really push you, maybe there is something you haven’t uncover. Also, if you have your contract vet by a lawyer, that would also buy you sometime.
The “let’s shake on it” and “everyone signs the same contract” doesn’t really fly any more. Unless it’s signed and dates, it didn’t happen. Just like our charts.... if you didn’t document it, it wasn’t done.

Thank you. I've been thinking to hire an attorney and check any future contract, just in case. I don't feel competent spotting problematic issues by myself.

Yes.

You interview multiple places. You take the best offered deal based your your criteria, whatever those might be.

You should definitely read any contract though yourself too. There is always some legalese you will need clarified once you get an attorney but you are a smart person and will be able to get most of it.

You shouldn’t think about this...you should do it...it will be the best money spent...remember contracts are designed to protect the employer not the employee.
