Hi everyone,
I have been reading posts in this forum for a while, but this is my first time posting here. Im a junior and gonna apply 2007 cycle. Also I have a great oppoturnity to got to South America for research this summer (everything is pais for and great stipend plus bonus 😀 ). I gonna take the DAT in April 2007, and retake it again in July if the scores are not good enough. If I do go, I have to retake the DAT in August 2007. Is it a little too late?

Also can one complete his application while he oversea (via the internet, maybe)?

I know one cant have all at a time, but I would love, love, love to go to South America and spend my whole summer next to the beach.

Please tell me what you guy think, any advice is appreciated. Thanks in advance

I personally dont think that it's too late if you're taking your DAT for the second time in August. It will be just a matter of forwarding your scores to the school. They will already have obtained your first DAT score and your application.

From what I understand school generally offer interviews in September (thats for the ppl who applied in May) and November (for ppl who applied a lil bit later)

So according to me, no concerns unless you bombed your first DAT completely.

AADSAS application are filled online. So if you have an Internet connection, you should be fine. You just need to make sure you give your referees the 'reference form' ahead of time. So if I were you, I would take the DAT in April, open an AADSAS account, fill out only the reference section. Print the appropriate forms and hand them to your referees...and fill the rest of your app on the beach in S. America! 😎

go to south america for sure. let the people who are going to write you letters know you want them when you come back. it'd be perfect if you had free access to the internet for your application. i was in italy and had to pay some stupid amount of euros per hour while filling out my app. have a good time.
