Has anyone seen significant cross-reactivity whereby oxycodone shows up as high level oxymorphone on GC/MS? I have a patient who insists she is not taking Opana. She has had an ER visit that she didn't tell me about either, so my suspicion is very high that she is shopping. The lab tech said there should be no cross-reactivity.

Oxycodone becomes oxymorphone, some may metabolize it more than others.
