Ahem, can someone kindly explain why there is right sided shift of oxygen dissociation curve in SCD?

cuz of inc 2, 3 BPG due to chronic anemia.

there is compensatory inc glycolysis in RBCs cuz of hypoxia

yes. in chronic anemias. I remember Goljan mentions the curve doesn't shift in anemia (hez referring to acute changes i think) and uworld mentions the inc in 2,3 BPG in RBCs in chronic anemias that'd eventually shift the curve to the right.
