I have just completed MD in paed & my wife has finished obg Gynfrom India , request you to please update me for further education in australia

- if we both have to join for fellowship , plz suggest some website where information is available
- I have heard usually this fellowships are for 4 1/2 yrs to 6 yrs for overseas trained docs , what are usual pay scales on training ..can this cover living cost in aust .
- after completion can one work as consultant .what is more preferable hospital job OR private practise ..what are general salary levels post completion of fellowships , how are working conditions

The first thing to do is to look at this website:

It is a government website with a fair amount of information for IMGs

then, look at:

Thanks you for the website links given , that was very helpful ,

I did not find salary details for obg & gyn in obg gyn ..I would like to know I already have given 10 yrs for Medical eduction in my home country INdia , If one further dedicates 4-5 yrs for overseas fellowship / internship in OZ

what are present salary range as obg gyn specialist one can expect for IMG after completion of 4-5 yrs in Asutralia ...OR possibilities in private practise ...also considering nos of medical graduates increasing in Oz post 2011 due to increase in medical schools

any body has information on above
