P/F a non premed req biology class

Crap, so I made my next semester schedule and I p/f my ecology/evolution class (listed as biology) as I was told that it'd be okay to do that (from both advisor and SDN) since it's not a pre req course.

However, I have been talking to people now about this decision and they are telling me that I should not have done that b/c everyone will jut assume that I'll have failed it...

Are they right? I thought that as long as it was not a premed requirement nor it was that many P/F (this would be my first, though I do have a W...) i'd be fine. Am I totally off course? Somewhat paranoid now.

He's scared adcoms would think he wasn't doing well or didn't plan on doing well, so he pass/failed the class to hide a mediocre letter grade

But there's a big difference between not passing and getting a C.

Of course, but those aren't the options here. He's taking the class P/F, so how well he does in the class is ambiguous so long as he passes. His transcript will only say "Pass" opposed to A/B/C/D.

OP isn't concerned with passing or not. He only cares that adcoms will see "Pass" opposed to what his letter grade would have been and assume he did poorly and was attempting to hide it.

Honestly AMCAS is such a charlie foxtrot that I'd be surprised if ADCOMS would even notice. There's a section where you have to list EVERY class you've taken in college and I can't imagine that they spend a lot of time combing through it beyond making sure you have all your reqs done and didn't fail/withdraw too many classes.

Yeah, you're right. I was probably reading OP's post too literally when he said people would assume he had failed it. I'm sure he meant people would assume he had done poorly.
