I've applied to the Public Health Associates Program at the CDC this year and I am really hopeful I have a chance to participate!
My background is pretty unconventional, graduating from undergrad with a History Major but I have had a recognizable academic background in the sciences and public health. I was premed all the way until second semester of my junior yr and made the switch to history because overloading that yr really tanked my gpa.
Long story short, thoughts of med school with a 3.1 overall cum gpa is a bit far fetched. So I am looking into masters programs in public health and hoping to end up doing something in medical law on the side of public health policy.
I came across the phap program through a friend and applied because it would be an amazing opportunity to dive into the inner workings of public health... I'm just dying to find out if I made it to the interview process...:/ The schedule on the website says we should find out this month.
Anyone else looking into the program? Has anyone been notified already about an interview?
