P/NP Orgo?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Getting a B is not a big deal. A lot of schools frown on P/NP (for prereqs) and also retaking it is kinda sketchy because they're assuming you were doing really bad and you really aren't.

I got a B- in organic II. Your med school app does not live and die by a low b. But yeah, a P/NP will draw questions.

you and i have very different definitions for bombing.

It is only mid-semester...I am sure you can pull your grade up a bit (you are not even sure of what grade you got on this last test yet) and you don;t even know what the curve for the class might be. Dropping and retaking will look suspicious....many Adcoms like to see someone do well with a heavy courseload. PLus a B is not the end of the world!!

Ok, reality check...

Me: B- in freshman biology
You: B- in orgo

My bioclass was a 4 credit class, I'm sure orgo is 3 for you (if lab isn't incorporated). I survived, and recovered my GPA, so can you. A B- is not a horrendous deal that anyone should "slit their wrists over" in the eyes of one of my professors 😉. You'll be fine, and you have Orgo two to prove you can handle the material. Work at it, do more practice problems to get rid of anxiety.

I cant afford a B-/C+ or even a B. Itll bring my gpa down to 3.45 (im a sophmore)

And you can't afford a 3.45 GPA as a sophomore because?

My GPA as a sophomore was a 3.39. Graduated with a 3.50. Got into medical school just fine.

Its obvious you are stressing yourself out too much over things and it is effecting your performance.
