P/NP

I received an NP in a P/NP class in a computer science class last semester. How is it factored into grades? My school doesn't factor it into GPA, but how do med schools count it? It's kinda out of the blue since I've gotten mostly As and Bs in everything else. I will retake it in fall 2021 when it is offered again, but I am applying this coming cycle before I have a chance to retake it.

Same thing as your school. It will be listed as Fail, so it's not great, but it won't go into your GPA calculation. AMCAS will list it as "Supplemental Hours: P/F-Fail."
