p450 help

anybody have a spiffy way to remember what drugs increase and decrease the p450 system ? 😕

for the p450 activators remember:

BARB GRIS'ed the CAR, PHENce, and RIFAMP (as in ramp)

dont have one for the inhibitors.



and if you need one for hemolysis if G6PD deficient (think of INH like the DEA and Chloro (clara) as the thief):

the INH called CHLORO's SULF-phone at PRIMetime for stealing ASPIRIN and IBUPROFEN last NITe

S=sulfonamides

Check out the sticky up top titled "group effort". There's a good mnemonic for the P450 inducers & inhibitors... and a ton more on other stuff too! 🙂
